Entry qualification | Master diploma (or higher) MSc degree and good university results in the field of any environmental sciences including chemistry, biology, geography, physics and environmental engineering. Certificates of language proficiency: at least intermediate level certified by internationally accredited language examination: TELC B2, ECL B2, TOEFL iBT test score of at least 72, or RPDT score 72, Cambridge First Certificate at least “B”, IELTS score of at least 5.5, LanguageCert B2 level Specific expectations: students having previous scientific work in these fields and medium-level proficiency in foreign languages (mainly English) are preferred. Overview
Program description:
Environmental education at the University of Szeged has been internationally acknowledged for decades. The doctoral school carries out activities in the environmental aspects of chemistry, biology, physics, geography etc. Due to the interdisciplinary aspects of environmental science, PhD students of the programme have to choose 6 basic courses that are not related to their own research topic. Rigorous coursework develop abilities concerning environmental sciences and specific knowledge in the research field related to the research programme of the Doctoral School.

Entrance exam description:
The applicant has to choose PhD programme, research topic, supervisor, and upload the documents of the study (MSc degree), previous scientific works, resume (CV) and motivation letter. Decision for entering a doctoral program is based on these documents (max. 25 points for results of diploma, max 25 points for scientific work and extra 5 points for extra foreign knowledge) and the personal interview (max. 30 points). The personal interview must be taken in front of the committee having min. 3 member of the doctoral school. In the case of foreign students the doctoral school can set aside the personal interview.”“
