Language requirements | English Language requirements Minimum level of language proficiency (both written and oral): B2 IELTS Score: 5.5 If the applicant is unable to prove their knowledge of English with any of the above certifications, he or she must participate in a Skype interview or attend a prearranged interview (either in Hungary in person or on an on-the-spot admission abroad) organized by the Faculty and/or its delegates. The interview also seeks to assess the general and professional knowledge and interest of the applicant. Any letter of acceptance issued by the Faculty of Social Sciences is based on the verified fact that the applicant’s command of English has been assessed; therefore, they are considered eligible to pursue their higher studies at the institution. If the applicant can prove that they competed their former education in entirely in English by submitting a notarized attestation and a detailed academic transcript, no proof of language knowledge will be required throughout the admission process. |

Overview
Short description, the aim of the program:
The goal of this program is to train professional sociologists at the bachelor level. Successful graduates of the programme should have a solid grasp of the concepts and principles of sociology and have mastered (at the appropriate level) its methods, and they should be able to identify and interpret social problems meaningfully. Besides the traditional lectures and seminars, the programme is based on project-based teaching methods, and includes one semester of intensive project work.

Applicants are expected to be prepared an approximately 5-6 minutes long in which they speak about those social problems, which they experience around them, in their personal life, in their society. Also, they could talk a little bit about the potential causes of these phenomena.

Based on the results of the applicants and the annual capacity, the faculty decides the lowest accepted score for admission. Besides reaching the lowest accepted score for admission, a successful oral entrance exam is perquisite of getting admitted. If the applicant fails the oral entrance exam, the application will be rejected.
