Program description:
The aim of the School is to support postgraduate studies at the University of Szeged, leading to the degree of PhD in computer science (informatics). The School operates within the Institute of Informatics. The research work in the school belongs to the following research areas: Theoretical Computer Science, Operations Research and Combinatorial Optimization, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing, and Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Entry requirements:
MS degree in related field, transcripts, certificates of language proficiency: at least intermediate level certified by internationally accredited language examination: TELC B2, ECL B2, TOEFL iBT test score of at least 72, or PBT score at least 550, Cambridge First Certificate at least “B”, IELTS score of at least 5.5 Each applicant has to arrange two letters of recommendation

Programme structure

About the programme

This PhD educational programme requires active and productive research work under the supervision of the thesis adviser, the completion of five courses, and active participation in seminars at the Institute of Informatics. The courses embrace a number of fields in computer science.
