Program description:
The first doctoral program in this field was established in 1993 in Szent István University. In 2020 two former doctoral schools of our Szent István University, namely Management and Business Administration and Enyedi György Doctoral School of Regional Sciences in have merged into the Doctoral School of Economic and Regional Sciences. The Doctoral School has two (disciplines; Doctoral Program in Management and Business Administration Sciences; Doctoral Program in Regional Sciences. Your PhD degree will indicate both programs. As studying and research take place in English in our program, a lot of students from foreign countries can join our programs by scholarship and self-financed way. The aim of the Doctoral School is to create an active national and international research environment at relevant topics for research degree students, who deal with related issues in regional sustainable development in developed and developing countries, focusing on countribution of small and medium size enterprises of private and public sector in a theoretical and empirical manner. The sectors of agriculture and food industry are in the center of our research.

Entrance exam description:
After the assessment of the uploaded documents (preliminary studies, language certificate, preliminary research documents, list of publications, research plan etc.) a Skype interview will be organized with the selected candidates in order to check their language skills and professional background. After all, the admission committee decides about the admission or rejection.
